Returns, Exchanges & Refunds – Branded Clothing

We want you to love your Coastal Hay Co gear! If something isn’t quite right, here’s exactly how our return and exchange policy works for branded clothing (t-shirts, hoodies, hats, etc.).
Hay and feed products are NOT eligible for return due to food-safety regulations.
Eligibility for Return or Exchange
- Items must be returned within 30 days of the delivery date (or pickup date).
- Clothing must be unworn, unwashed, and in brand-new condition with original tags attached.
- Original packaging (poly bags, etc.) should be included when possible.
- Final-sale items (clearly marked as “Final Sale” at checkout) are not eligible for return or exchange.
What You Can Do
1. Refund – Get your money back to the original payment method.
2. Exchange – Swap for a different size or color (if in stock).
3. Store Credit – We’ll issue a gift card code for the full amount (includes original shipping cost).
How to Return Shipping Works
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
- We recommend using a trackable, insured shipping method—we are not responsible for lost or damaged returns.
- Original outbound shipping charges are non-refundable (except in cases of our error).
Refund Timeline
Once we receive and inspect your return (usually within 3–5 business days), we’ll notify you by email and process your refund or store credit within 2 business days.
Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
How to Start a Return or Exchange
1. Send an email to returns@coastalhayco.com with:
- Your order number
- Item(s) you’re returning
- Reason for return
- Whether you want a refund, exchange (include new size/color), or store credit
2. We’ll reply within 24–48 hours with return instructions and our warehouse address.
3. Pack the item securely, include a copy of your order confirmation or a note with your order number, and ship it back.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you received a damaged, defective, or wrong item, contact us within 7 days of delivery. Send photos of the issue to returns@coastalhayco.com and we’ll cover return shipping and send a replacement or full refund immediately.
Non-Returnable Items
- Worn, washed, or altered clothing
- Items missing original tags
- Anything purchased more than 30 days ago
- Final-sale items
- Hay, feed, or any non-clothing products
