Welcome to Coastal Hay Co! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website (coastalhayco.com), mobile site, and any services we provide, including the purchase of hay (delivery or pickup) and branded clothing (“Products”). By placing an order, browsing our site, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have permission from a parent or guardian) and that you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new “Effective Date.” Your continued use of our services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
3. Ordering & Payment
- All orders are subject to acceptance and product availability.
- Prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without notice.
- You agree to pay all charges (including applicable taxes and shipping/delivery fees) at the time of purchase.
- We accept major credit/debit cards and other payment methods displayed at checkout. Payment is processed securely through our third-party payment processors.
- Hay is a natural agricultural product. Color, texture, weight, and quality may vary slightly by cutting and season.
4. Delivery & Pickup
Delivery
- Delivery is available only within our defined service area.
- Delivery fees are calculated at checkout are estimates; additional charges may apply for remote locations, multiple trips, or special handling.
- You are responsible for providing safe, accessible unloading conditions. If our driver determines conditions are unsafe, delivery may be refused and additional fees may apply.
- Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to your specified address.
Pickup
- Orders for pickup must be collected within 7 days of the agreed pickup date unless otherwise arranged.
- After 7 days, we may resell the product and issue a refund minus a 20% restocking fee.
5. Cancellations, Returns & Refunds
- Orders may be canceled before they are processed or loaded for delivery. Once loaded or out for delivery, cancellation is no longer possible.
- Refunds (if approved) will be issued to the original payment method minus any non-refundable fees.
- Hay and feed products are generally cannot be returned due to health and safety regulations, except in cases of proven gross misrepresentation or damage in transit caused by us.
- Branded clothing may be returned within 30 days if unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with tags attached. Customer pays return shipping.
6. Product Disclaimer – Hay & Feed
Hay is an agricultural product. We make no guarantees regarding specific nutrient content, freedom from dust/mold, or suitability for any particular animal unless expressly stated in writing. Buyer assumes full responsibility for determining suitability for their animals.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on our website (logos, photos, text, “Coastal Hay Co” name and branding) is owned by us or our licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute it without our written permission, except for normal browsing and purchasing.
8. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use our site for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to interfere with site operation (hacking, viruses, etc.)
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Scrape or harvest data from the site without permission
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR LIVESTOCK LOSS), EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE PRODUCT OR SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Coastal Hay Co and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of our Products in an unsafe or improper manner.
11. Governing Law & Disputes

12. Force Majeure
